Blend STEM into your daily teaching, integrate character development lessons, and teach students how to code all at the same time! While students are engaged in learning in fun and creative ways, they will explore their values and beliefs, learn to collaborate with healthy respectful behaviors, and gain problem-solving experience using technology. The computer coding skills are taught in the HTML format. Lessons are presented in a clear, step-by-step manner. Educators with no prior coding experience will feel at ease. Every lesson features a Boys Town social skill to practice, relating to respect of self and others. An executive function skill such as self-control or integrity is also emphasized in each assignment. By the time the 15 lessons are completed, students will have developed all the code necessary to launch their own websites.
