Sources of Grievance: Examples (03:26)
A grievance is a concern, problem, or complaint that an employee wishes to raise with his or her employer. Complaints can arise over many issues, including; terms of employment, pay, working conditions, discrimination, and harassment. Objections that are not settled can be expensive for the employer.
Grievance: Case to Answer? (02:00)
Grievance procedures can be misleading to employees. An anonymous victim shares her thoughts about reporting your superior as a bully. Getting bullied by a relative of your supervisor is difficult.
A Touching Story (02:03)
When an employee was too tactile, explaining the meaning of personal space in a group forum helped resolve the issue. Telling another employee to stop in a forceful voice helped one lady stop a male coworker from stroking her back and touching her shoulder.

A camera was installed over an employee’s work counter. “Stewart” was shocked that no coworkers had come to him before the camera was installed.
Bullying and Grievance: Susan's Story (02:21)
“Susan” was a training manager in a large public sector organization. During an appraisal, her boss started talking about problems she was having with “Susan” and reported information that other people had shared.
Disciplinary Procedure (04:27)
Things came to a head when “Susan” wrote an article for a publisher. She believes her boss was looking for an excuse to fire her, when her superior started disciplinary action. “Susan” left the company and her supervisor was never called to account for her actions.
